    Who is ParkingCarma?

    We are a high-tech service company that makes your parking experience more convenient.


    What is SmartParking?

    SmartParking is an easy to use solution for parking in congested metropolitan areas. It will bring together consumers who are looking for parking spots with parking structure owners and managers who have available parking spaces.


    Who should use ParkingCarma?

    Everyone who needs a parking space and wants to get it quickly and conveniently!


    How do I sign up?

    Go to www.parkingcarma.com and click on Register Now. You will be guided through the simple registration process.


    Where does ParkingCarma work?

    Use ParkingCarma to search all major U.S. cities! Our SmartParking permits, reservations and other benefits are currently in a select number of cities and will be coming soon to a lot near you.


    What is a SmartParking Permit?

    This is a convenient way to search, locate, reserve and pay for the parking spot that you want wherever our service is available.

    Membership


    Do I have to become a member to use ParkingCarma?

    Anyone can use ParkingCarma to locate parking - free of charge!


    Why should I register with ParkingCarma?

    As a registered user, you have the convenience of storing and matching your preferences, and also gain access to reservations and pre-paid parking where available.


    Should I become a Member of ParkingCarma?

    Yes! As a member, you will have even more convenience: quick and easy payment, easy review of your parking history, lower reservation fees, access to premium locations and monitor your positive impact on the environment. ParkingCarma gives back to the local community with each paid membership!


    How much does membership cost?

    Membership is only $9.99 per year. As a member, you will also pre-pay a minimum of $30 into your SmartParking permit account. We will deduct from this account each time you park – easy parking and payment convenience!


    What are the ParkingCarma fees for?

    ParkingCarma charges fees for reservations and convenient payment.


    Is there a "Frequent Parker" program?

    We are working on it – please contact us to tell us what you think at comments [at] parkingcarma.com.


    Can I add more than one name to my account?

    Your account is in your name only, but you can add as many vehicles as you’d like.



    Reservations and Payment


    How many spaces can I reserve?

    Your reservations are limited to one space per registered vehicle at any given time.


    Can I make a reservation for someone else?

    Sure, as long as the vehicle is registered on your account and you are using your payment information.


    Is the parking space really guaranteed?

    We guarantee you a space in the lot that you’ve reserved or your ParkingCarma fee is returned.


    Do the listed prices differ from the prices if I go directly to the lot?

    We charge the same prices as the lot. Of course, prices change and while we make every effort to update the site as soon as this happens, there may from time to time be small discrepancies. Please contact support [at] parkingcarma.com and let us know if this happens.

    Our reservation fee is fixed per lot and will not change.


    How do I pay for parking?

    Simply enter your credit card information and we will charge you the fees for the lot you’ve chosen. We will soon be adding support for PayPal and Amazon.com payments.


    Can I pay with something other than a credit card?

    Contact customer service at support [at] parkingcarma.com to pay by check. We will let you know when the check has cleared and your account is ready for use!


    What credit cards can I use?

    Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.


    Where is the CSC code on my credit card?

    This is usually the three or four digit code that is printed above the signature line on the back of the card


    If an event is cancelled or my plans change, will I get a refund?

    We understand that things change, please notify us as soon as you can. There may be a cancellation or change fee but we will be happy to work with you and our parking facilities to resolve any problems. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.


    What if I arrive earlier or stay longer than my reservation?

    As a courtesy to other members, please notify us when plans change. You will be charged the applicable parking rates for any additional time spent at the lot.

    Is the ParkingCarma site secure?

    Yes, we have all the latest web security systems. All of the data entered in the protected pages is encrypted using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. Our servers support SSL Version 3 and 168-bit Triple DES encryption. The RSA module and SSL sessions feature 1024-bit encryption.


    How does ParkingCarma’s SmartParking technology work?

    ParkingCarma works by matching parking user's needs with available spaces. Parking lots and other parking asset owners will sign up with ParkingCarma and share their parking space availability. ParkingCarma will then manage this information in a real-time database, constantly monitoring which spaces are in use and which ones are open.


    I received an error while purchasing parking. What should I do?

    Please contact support at 810-496-3455 or email support [at] parkingcarma.com.


    What should I do if I cannot print my reservation confirmation?

    At any time prior to your reservation time, you may reprint the reservation permit from the “Reservations” section of the “My Carma” dashboard. If you still cannot print your reservation please write down your reservation information and present it to the parking attendant. Check with your printer manufacturer if you are having issues printing.


    What browser should I use to view this site?

    Our site is optimized for IE 7; however, all web browsers are supported.

    Why am I not receiving confirmations and other emails?

    Please verify that the parkingcarma.com domain is added to your safe senders list in your SPAM software. You will receive email from ParkingCarma from support [at] parkingcarma.com or customerservice [at] parkingcarma.com.
